University of Cambridge North Range

 
  The University of Cambridge's North Range is the central Student Services Centre located on the historic New Museums Site. NetX were appointed to install around 2200 Category6A outlets in the grade II listed building, with further installations in the new build Student Services Centre and Examination Halls. Multiple comms rooms were interlinked with extensive Singlemode and Multimode campus fibre optic links for the Cambridge University Data Network (CUDN)

Project HADAR

 
  An installation consisting of around 1900 Category 6A outlets for the new research space and a toxicology unit for the University of Cambridge. The project involved the supply and installation of 15 X 42U800X1000 cabinets along with various new and upgraded multimode fibre optic links.

Sanger Building 10G

 
  The Department of Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge is a world-leading biochemical research and education facility. Netx were tasked with a major infrastructure upgrade for the Department with the provision of around 1350 Cat6A U/FTP outlets to replace and expand the ageing Cat5 cabling. Singlemode fibre optic cabling was also provided linking numerous comms rooms throughout the building.

Hopkins Building 10G

 
  Following on from the success of the Sanger Building 10Gig network upgrade, Netx were appointed to perform a similar installation to upgrade the legacy Cat5E cabling in the Hopkins Building. Around 1400 Cat6A U/FTP outlets were installed across 4 floors of the Building with a new distribution cabinets on each floor served by Singlemode fibre optic cabling.

Alconbury Civic Hub

 
  New Shire Hall, a purpose-built civic hub for Cambridgeshire County Council. Around 700 Category 6A outlets were installed served by multiple distribution cabinets linked with diversely routed OM4 fibre optic cables for resilience.

Bidwell House

 
  Bidwell's are a leading real estate adviser specialising in the UK’s most pioneering sectors: science & technology and have been based in Cambridge for 180 years. As part of a complete refurbishment of Bidwell House, around 1100 Category 6 outlets were installed along with OM3 Multimode fibre optic backbone cabling.

Pharmacology 10G

 
  The Department of Pharmacology sits within the School of Biological Sciences, University of Cambridge, and provides world-class teaching and research. A network upgrade involving the installation of 450 Cat6A U/FTP outlets and the removal of the legacy Cat5 cabling was undertaken along with various alterations to the existing fibre optic infrastructure.

Sedgwick Building

 
  The Sedgwick Building is the home of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Cambridge. It houses the renowned Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, which features extensive fossil and geological collections. As part of a major renovation project, we undertook the installation of approximately 350 Category 6A outlets along with the supply and installation of 5 networking cabinets.

  Cromwell Community College is a community for pupils aged 4 to 18 founded in 1939 and located in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. In 2020 in conjunction with electrical and mechanical works, Netx were nominated to install 450 Category 6 outlets along with OM4 multimode campus fibre.

St Regis Development - Clare College

 
  Clare College is the second oldest of Cambridge’s thirty-one colleges. It was founded in 1326. The St Regis site provides graduate accommodation for Clare's students. In 2021, the original late-1930s buildings underwent a major renovation. As part of these works, Netx were appointed to provide both hardwired Cat 6A cabling to serve the student rooms along with additional cabling to support the Wi-Fi network.
