We specialise in the installation of Category6, Category 6A and legacy Cat5E. We are an Excel accredited partner and able to offer a manufacturer backed 25 year warranty for all installations.

CONTAINMENT FOR
DATA CABLING

We install containment systems for structured cabling including trunking, basket tray and conduits.

CAT 5E/6/6A TESTING

We use Fluke Versiv cable analysers to test all copper cabling. Units are calibrated annually by Fluke and covered by Fluke Gold support. We supply full test reports for every outlet we install. You can view a sample copy here.

FIBRE OPTIC CABLING

We install Singlemode and Multimode fibre optic cables. The current standard being OSO2 and OM4 although we also install OS1, OM1, OM2 and OM3 for installations that require legacy fibre optic cable for compatibility reasons. Cables can be loose tube or tight buffer with either standard B2Ca outer sheaths or corrugated steel tape or steel wire armoured (SWA) where additional mechanical protection is required.

FIBRE OPTIC FUSION SPLICING

We exclusively use Fujikura equipment for the preparation (cleaving) and fusion splicing of fibres. Fibres are usually terminated to pigtails with LC style connectors for new installations but we can also splice to ST or SC and many other types of connector. We also fusion splice fibres in through joints where fibre either needs to be extended or damaged section of fibre optic cable need to be replaced.

FIBRE OPTIC OTDR TESTING

We use a Fujikura Noyes M200-K-Quad OTDR (optical time domain Reflectometer) for testing both Singlemode and Multimode fibres. Unlike basic "power meters" We can test for: Attenuation. Reflectance, Event Mapping, Total length and fault Location
